Train people. Create jobs. Shape the future.

Problem

In many regions of Cameroon, young people lack practical vocational training and real employment opportunities. At the same time, there is a great need for skilled workers in fields such as water supply, solar energy, battery storage, geothermal energy, and agriculture. Many young people are motivated and have potential, but have limited access to training that leads directly to a career or to starting their own small business. As a result, opportunities in the local economy go untapped. At the same time, Cameroon and many other African countries face major challenges in the areas of energy supply, water, agriculture, and employment. It is precisely in these areas that there is an urgent need for well-trained professionals and sustainable, practical solutions.

Goal

Our goal is to train people, create jobs, and shape the future. Our project directly links vocational training with hands-on work experience. Young people receive training in the fields of water, solar energy, battery storage, geothermal energy, and agriculture, and apply their knowledge directly to real-world projects. In the field of solar energy, participants learn not only how to install and maintain solar power systems, but also how to set up and use battery storage systems. This enables them to develop practical solutions for a more reliable and sustainable energy supply while also creating career opportunities. Another focus is the study and potential use of geothermal energy. Specifically in the Moungo region and western Cameroon, the goal is to examine how existing geothermal resources can be used to provide a sustainable supply of heat and electricity. The training program combines theoretical knowledge with practical research and potential pilot projects. This not only creates a skilled workforce, but also jobs, income, local businesses, and new value creation. At the same time, the project lays the groundwork for a long-term partnership between Cameroon and Europe. European companies and institutions can combine their expertise, technologies, and investments with local talent, experience, and growing markets. This can lead to new economic collaborations, technology partnerships, and joint projects. This is how knowledge becomes work. Work becomes income. Income becomes a future—and collaboration creates mutual benefits for Cameroon and Europe.
